To the Governor of Zamfara State,
 Alhaji Ahmad Sani (Yariman Bakura).

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatul Lahi wa Barakatuh

We the undersigned, have received the news of the adoption of sharia in your state with happiness, we embrace it, and give you our full support for a bold step taken that we hope shall enlighten all and sundry more about the good features of the Islamic code.Yours is indeed a pioneering effort the success of which we hope will make others to follow suit.We pray to Allah the Al-mighty to be your guide towards achieving this goal.
 We would like to put forward our advises as a token contribution to this great effort. The following areas will need your attention:

 1. Zakat collection and its distribution to alleviate poverty; rescue the orphans, widows and the destitute from their social degradation.

2. Also a strategic intervention to gradually infuse vocational education with basic literacy in the 'allo' schools and more Islamic subjects into the 'boko' schools, in the hope that in future both will merge;

3. A massive public education campaign to make people feel that government and its system belongs and is accountable to them. The lesson of history is that movements that seek to implement change must mobilize the people to shares their vision or train a cadre that believes in the ideals of the movement, are ready to sacrifice wealth and limb to see their realization, are capable of translating theory to practice when power is attained and can steer the treacherous machinations of the enemies of change and the stakeholders of the decadent order - who will resist change and will then try to sabotage the new system.

We would also like to draw your attention to some other issues of importance because of the indelible nature of the consequence of a failure of this pioneering attempt of our contemporary ages, on the generality of the Ummah.

1-- That your government should not allow praises and hailing from the people to distract it from facing promptly the real issues at hand, as the best reward for you is from Allah and not from the people. You should therefore work very hard to show others a model of how a group of committed Muslims leading a majority Muslim state can perform.

2-- Your government should outperform others in areas of development, efficiency, transparency, honesty and vision.  For example we would like to see your government tackle the issue of education seriously as well as putting sanity in the civil service.  The disease of corruption must be fought vigorously. You should do your best and utilize the little resources you have judiciously so as to maximize returns to the ordinary person.

3-- Your government should also be fair and just to all subjects under your domain including those who do not profess the Deen, for Islam is a religion of Justice and does not condone injustice. The Government should particularly guarantee the non-Muslim minority (by way of a "massive education campaign") that they are very much welcomed in the Islamic States. And that their property, lives, freedoms, rights etc. will be protected.  This is necessary, we believe in the light of the very negative publicity this positive action is generating among their circle.

4--  Your government should be open to criticism and should accept corrections when and where it go wrong. You must always consult knowledgeable people and experts on matters before embarking on actions, as these are required of you by Allah (SWT). Other issues of importance that require urgent attention include:
i) Almajiris,
 ii) women education
 iii) infrastructure (water,  electricity etc),
 iv) unemployment
 v) Health (sanitation)vi)Nutrition  and
 vii) Security.

And finally we pray to Allah to make all these easy for you. And also protect you and your advisers and the house of assembly from the evils of detractors.
